EDA interfaces on the equipment side (see CenterPoint | portA) require an appropriate EDA client able to deal with hundreds of data reports, multiple clients, and EDA enabled equipment in the factory.
CenterPoint has considered this requirement seriously and has taken the challenge to integrate in its current family of products a product without comparison. The CenterPoint | EDAfactoryController is such application that provides the needed architecture for a fab-wide EDA data collection and client management.
CenterPoint’s EDAfactoryController enables the user to manage all EDA compliant equipment and helps integrate them into the user’s current architecture from a central application without affecting current data processing and data distribution systems. CenterPoint’s solution to the EDA interface has been the implementation of an architecture that removes the possibility of creating a potential bottleneck to handle the data collected from processing equipment and distributing it to the appropriate client or application.

Our EDA-client is an open architecture that integrates effortless into the user’s existing landscape of applications expecting data from equipment in the factory (e.g. MES, APC, FDC, OEE etc.). Using the newly developed EDA interface for the semiconductor industry could be a good reason to improve the existing set of applications used for factory automation.
CenterPoint | EDAfactoryController is the right solution that provides with the required flexibility to acquire data from EDA in a fab-wide architecture and to function as distributor to the applications already in place. In addition to that, the CenterPoint | EDAfactoryController provides capabilities for data processing, data analysis, data mining and rule-based decision making used with off-the-shell CenterPoint products.
